Chelsea Wolfe shares acoustic ‘Dusk’ performance at the Páramo de Chingaza

American gothic rock, doom-metal and folk artist Chelsea Wolfe shared a live acoustic performance of her song ‘Dusk’ from her latest album ‘She Reaches Out To She Reaches Out To She’ on March 11th. The set is performed at dusk in the breathtaking mountains of Columbia, filmed shortly after the recording of various other music videos for the album.

During this performance, Wolfe’s voice is a beacon in the quiet instrumental of the track, serenading the listener with her meticulously crafted lyrics and drawing them into the divine depths of ‘Dusk’. With the absence of the heavy music to accompany her vocals, the focal point of the song is now pulled to every line Wolfe graciously cantillates, especially:

‘In these confines, true love’s shadow still awaits
Cracked and fractured,
Held anew and whole again
Can you contain my love? Call me back together
Cause I will run through the fire to get to you.’

The ambience of the video is absolutely perfect, with the glow of dusk adorning the vast landscape that Wolfe is placed upon. Throughout the video, the world slowly becomes less vivid, bestowing darkness unto both the viewer and the siren upon the hills. The performance is ended with the hushed chanting of the lyrics ‘Don’t give me up, Don’t let me go.’

An invitation to watch from Chelsea herself:

“Dusk is Earth’s transitional phase between evening and night, beginning just after sundown. A time of vulnerability, it is equally full of magic and opportunity. Will you share dusk with me?”

All in all, this performance is not one to be missed.
